From the sublime to the ridiculous

Here’s Turning to God’s Word author Matthew Phelps’ tongue-in-cheek depiction of one of the things that Jesus might have been tracing on the ground with his finger in the Gospel According to John 8:6. Matthew’s drawing is based on the idea that what Jesus was writing was less important than that Jesus intentionally was taking his time responding to the trap set by the scribes and Pharisees.
